Gee John, does that mean you are not interested in reproducing handles

you can't use? I just can't understand that! I guess I better not send the

bits.

As I am a bit of a shutterbug, I harbored real reservations about going

digital. However, more and more of my photos were intended for the net and

the old scanner takes sooooo much time and since high quality wasn't really

required for net projects, and that the quality of the newer digital jobs HAS

been improving lately anyway, I decided to take the plunge.

I bought an Olympus D-460 Zoom 1.3 Megapixel camera. It looks like a film

type point and shoot model and for the most part works the same way too.

There are a bunch of advantages over film cameras as you might guess. The

most important has to be that it downloads your snaps directly to your

confuser so you can print them, email them or upload them as you please.

There are some drawbacks, like the unpredictable delay from the time your

shutter finger says "go" to the time the camera says "whoa," so I sure

wouldn't choose it for action photos but on the whole, I am delighted with

it. The film cameras have hardly been out of their cases in the last six

months.
