The Electric Switch Again . . .
Attachments :
I need to get the handles off of the switch to have new ones made and to
this end, have removed the switch from the dash and taken the rear cover off.
The handles are held in by screws which have also been taken out. The handles
would not come out, even with a little pressure from the business end of a
screwdriver. Perhaps they are pressed in, or perhaps the pot metal has
swollen, but in any event, the need to come out.
Can anyone offer any suggestions? My next step is going to be an
application of Aerokroil and tapping with a larger screwdriver and hammer. I
would sure hate to break something! A pic is attached.
I have added a new folder with 9 shots of this troublesome switch to the
Files section of the list home page.
