Nice Fresh Watts Nickel

I had this shell plated something like 2 years ago in preparation for a

quick reassembly after some minor work. Somehow my two week project got

stretched out . . .

It is done in real Watts nickel, just like in the twenties. This is NOT

the same as the alloyed nickel used under chrome. Proper Watts plating has a

lovely golden hue that makes the twenties cars look very classy. For domestic

models, Hudson only plated the shells on what we retrospectively call the

second series 1926 models. In their day, they were sold as 1927 cars.
