$600 Radiator

That figure is just two bills and is almost certainly low. The radiator

was purchased over the phone from the East Coast and shipped to me. It (of

course) proved worthless. My buddy in the radiator business used the frame

and tanks and made a new core. Even the tanks were split and needed extensive

repair.

The plating shop sent the neck back with chrome and I made the shop send

it back. When they just dechromed it (while the shop driver waited) I got

suspicious and ran it down to Model Plating in Bell Gardens myself. They have

done all my plating on this project.

Come to think of it, maybe it's best NOT to add up the costs on a project

like this. It could get very depressing . . .
