JB Weld Special

Attachments :
This outlet was severely rusted and pitted and really should have been

welded or brazed, two skills I have yet to learn. Instead, I fitted a piece

or brass pipe into the outlet and used JB Weld to putty up the casting. This

took something like a week of filing and successive coats to build it up. It

was tested on the drive over from the Hudson Garage downtown to my shop where

the car is being worked on and survived that brief trip with no visible

damage. We shall see how it does in the midst of a searing SoCal summer . . .
