I don't know. I found out that they were original on the '26 by browsing
the '26 Parts Book. I was looking for something else and stumbled across the
listing. The book even listed the material as "fiber" causing me to rush
outside to find the ones I had carelessly discarded a few days before in the
hurry of trying to push the job along.
One of the front mounts had even been stuck by old grease to the lid of
my pickup truck toolbox and had traveled around town for a couple of days
without falling off on the road somewhere! All four were found, cleaned and
stored away, now considered valuable historical artifacts.
Has anyone got a copy of an early Parts Book to see if the first Super
Sixes had the fiber isolators?
