    A few weeks ago, I visited the restoration shop of Randy Ema, a local old

    car guru and all around good guy. He had a 1928 Buggatti in for a complete

    resto. That itself might not be very interesting to Hudson folk, but the body

    was designed and built for this car by Murphy of Pasadena.

    During 1928, Frank Spring was still with Murphy, but was doing work for

    Hudson as well. Some of his drawings were passed on from Hudson in Detroit to

    Biddle and Smart in Amesbury, and it has been said that the "look" of those

    cars was his. It is POSSIBLE that he had a hand in both this Buggatti body

    and in the 1928 Biddle and Smart Roadster. To view the pics, go to:
