Paul, it's hard to say much about the Bugatti body without knowing what
chassis it goes with. In 1928 Bugatti were making the Type 38 (2 litre),
Type 40 (1.5 litre), Type 44 (3 litre), all of which were touring cars you
could buy as a chassis or with a factory body. And of course people quite
often re-bodied their cars to maintain a current appearance. Bugatti also
were building a range of very fierce grand prix and racing cars, but you
wouldn't put a roadster body on them - too small.
I'd be interested to know what lives under that body! I'd expect a Type 44,
but who knows....
And is that an Isetta (the bubble car) in the background?
