The baffling belt
Thanks for posting the pictures of the California meet. I now know
that the top rests I bought for my '23 are close if not dead on the
money. What befuddled me is the belt on the top of the doors of
the '24(?). Butler says that the bevel was dropped forever in
mid '22, yet there it is. I would be tempted to say that it was a '21
or '22 body except the front doors are hinged at the front! That came
about in mid'22. Then there is the side mount spare. Butler says
that '24 saw the spare moved to the rear. The engine doesn't have the
side draft carburetor like '23 and earlier. It is a puzzlement! Can
anyone enlighten? Zeke
