Window Winder Handle Needed
Pics of an item I would like to find have been posted to a temporary
folder. To see the pics, go to:

This winder handle operates the rear window on my '26 Hudson with
Anderson Coupe body. The pattern matches the rest of the interior body
hardware so it probably is original to the car.
The handle fits a square 5/16" shaft that extends from the winder
mechanism. The escutcheon threads into the body. The unit shown is an
assembly made of at least three pieces, the handle, the escutcheon and a
weird retainer.
The current one is deteriorated potmetal and has been repaired with an
epoxy like material. It now functions as one piece and is only suitable for
display.
I suspect that this is a catalog item and may well have been widely used
by other body makers, very likely for the rearmost windows on four door
sedans. Has anyone got a good one to spare? Are these being repoped anywhere?
What else might work? I'm using a 6" Crescent wrench right now.
