1926 Touring

Hi Eveyone, I just purchased a 1926 Hudson 7p touring after several

years of searching for one. I plan on using the car for weddings and

special events at the Hotel that I work for (which by the way was

founded by Howard Coffin) Now that I have the car, I could use any

help, advice etc. to get to know it better. I am looking for a manual

for 1926. I have a copy of the shop manual and I have a 1924 owners

manual so I am using these as a start. I do have some basic questions

such as what type/weight of oil to use in the engine, transmission

and differential, etc? What kind of fluid do you put in the clutch?

The former owner had never had the top down and when we tried to

lower it we were doing something wrong and could not get it to go all

the way back into the hold downs. What is the proper way to do this?

The car has some sort of an oiler that was added at one point. It has

a line which is connected to the intake manifold. What is this and

what is it for? It is a beautiful car and it runs great. I am looking

forward to many years of enjoyment. Thanks for any help offered. Pace
