Virus On Lists?

In the last two weeks I have received a number of emails from people I

know, some from people I know on some of these elists that contain no text

but do have an attachment my confuser could not open. I have heard that there

is a virus making the rounds that operates that way. The virus has gotten

into the email systems and is trying to infect other computers by sending

copies of itself without the knowledge of the human whose good name is used

as a sort of Trojan Horse.

I would like to suggest that you do not download any attachments unless

the text of the email mentions something about a pic or the like being

attached and the subject is in the context of the list. I'm no expert but

this simple precaution SEEMS to make sense.

If any of you know better than I what to do about this without loosing

the utility of our systems please enlighten us.
