1929 gear box bearings
Hi everyone in the super six group. It has been
some time since I have listed a message, or replied to a couple of
questions regarding my photos of my 29 Hudson Phaeton. For some reason my
internet provider was blocking all messages from the super six group, also we
have had a lot of trouble with viruses.I hope these problems are now
solved.

Regarding the 12 spoke wooden wheels they have the
same hub cap as the wire wheel with 7 studs. " I need one more wheel if
someone can help "

Restoration of the phaeton is well underway, I am
looking for roller bearing's for my gear box, so far I can not locate any.
If someone can tell me where I may locate them , or supply some second-hand
bearings that will get me out of trouble , I would be happy to purchase
them.

I gotta agree with Zeke
here. I have been using the ordinary 90W in the
'29 but went to 600W in
the '26 with very good results. Next change the '29
will get 600W also.
That nice thick oil helps the gears slow down and helps
get the lever into
gear without graunching at a stop. I think it might be
closer to the lube
that these cars were intended to have from the factory.
