1929 Hudson Help, Info and Parts Needed

Hi, I recently purchased a '29 Sedan and I and it are in need of

help. I have a manual for Jan 1929 but it is missing pages 15,16,17

and 18. I could really use a wiring diagram since the wiring is a

complete mess. I am also looking for a 1929 Shop manual. I would

really like to purchase a copy if anyone has one. I have been looking

at photos of Perrys '29 to get an idea of what things should look

like. Here are some immediate problems:

The heat riser has been welded shut where the pipe would connect from

the manifold. It is missing the connecting pipe and the connecting

piece at the manifold end. The riser itself may need to be replaced.

Does anyone have these parts?

The distributor is missing the condensor. I am looking for one and

new points ,etc... I need to know how it was connected.I would also

like to know how the ignition switch was connected to the distributor

since the part looks like it is there but it is not connected. It may

even be the wrong part since it does not look like the one in the

photo of Perry's car.

There has been a lot of junk added to the car including a hose that

runs from the bottom of the water pump near the drain plug to the

connecting pipe near the top of the radiator. The top is not a

problem but it looks like the bottom piece may have been changed.

Does anyone have a close up photo of aht this piece should look like?

There is a piece of a wire coming from & hanging from the drivers

side of the engine block below the horn that must have been for the

oil gauge or something. Where does it go or what is it for?

The car has a few noticeable cosmetic parts missing. These include:

It only has one step plate on each running board (front doors only).

Is it supposed to have two (one for front & rear door)? What are they

supposed to look like? ( mine look like they may be from a later era

car)

Where can I find spare tire covers? I would especially like to find

some with the Hudson logo on them.

Also need the ashtray for the back seat and a choke button.

Thanks for any help or info offered. Pace
