new web site address for Lew Phelps -- resending
Hello, all. I just wanted to let you know that I have moved my Hudson
web site to a new URL, at an Earthlink site dedicated to this subject.
The new URL is
http://home.earthlink.net/~hudsontownsedan
(this message re-sent without the period at the end of the URL, which
gives you a 404 message instead of the site)
If anyone goes to the the old site, they will be magically transported
to the new one.
I've added a little stuff to the site recently...info about brake
issues, for example. Y'all come visit. I've been getting a pretty steady
25 to 50 visitors a day since the site was listed on Google and some
other search engines, which seems to me to indicate a fair amount of
interest in old Hudsons.
On the car itself, I got the brake shoes back from White Post last week,
and reinstalled the brakes and wheels over the three-day weekend. I have
a little brake dragging problem I have to resolve. The new brake shoes
look great. White Post cleaned them up and painted them gun-metal grey,
and installed new shoes made of a Kevlar-based material that should have
a lot more "grab" than the old shoes, which were so glazed they hardly
stopped the car.
Then I can go back to work figuring out what the problem is with the
ignition system.
And the oil pump that is acting up again.
And install the new wiring harness.
Sigh.
