Briggs-body "seat nut" still available
Just a reminder to the group that I still have one solid brass "seat
nut" available for sale at my cost ($75.00 plus shipping). This part
will fix a broken seat adjustment mechanism in a 1929 (and possibly
earlier) Briggs-bodied Super Six. The Briggs sedans had a seat
adjustment mechanism different from others, and I think they are the
only models afflicted with this problem. The original "seat nut" was
cast in two pieces in pot metal, and we all know how wonderfully strong
that stuff is.
