That would probably look fine. I use Coppercoat myself, a product that has

been around a very long time.

Does your car have the wire wheels? (You lucky dog!) '29 was the first year

for chrome on the exterior plating, so it is at least possible that the lugs

were chrome. Nickel is the other possibility. Have you tried Jack Smith in

Canada for your ash tray?

a new set of points, cap, etc.? Also what plugs and gap are

recommended? Does anyone know where to get a wiring harness for a '26

touring? >>

Assuming you have the proper American Bosch distributor, spark plug gap -

.028, points - .020. The ONLY source I know of for the American Bosch

ignition stuff is Ben McAdam, (304) 242-3388. He is in Wheeling, WV, and has

the proper stuff and good fast service. The prices are steep, but you

shouldn't need to replace these items very often. Ben even has the original

kidney shaped condenser, although I would want to have a modern unit

installed inside the old can. Dave Kostansek makes up the harnesses out of

the old style cloth insulated wire. The look really nice and fit perfectly.
