1929 gas tank unit

Hi, I'm in the process of cleaning and resealing the gas tank on

my '29 Sedan. At some point someone else sealed the tank without

cleaning it or even removing the gas gauge sending unit so needless

to say it has been a mess. I have removed the sending unit and the

pieces that I found in the tank. Does anyone have info on what it is

supposed to look like and how it works? Are there any replacement

units available? Thanks for the help. Pace
