Ok Geoff I will reconsider my plan
Meanwhile having timed my car advanced to get any power out of it I find I
have a distributer fault. Before delving into this item on Friday do you
have exoerience of stripping and rebuilding one. It has a load of headache
in the upper bearing, a considerable amount of backlash and the reason for
the timing change and the the unpleasant knocking is that the auto adavance
does not work progressivly but comes on all of a sudden randomly in the rev
range hence my need to advance the timing to get any low down power.
any advice gladly received, 1920 model O
