29(?) Coupe for sale on eBay
Guys and gals, what is described as a 1929 Hudson Coupe just showed up
on ebay motors, listed from a seller in Las Cruces, NM, and apparently
always owned in the SW, so rust should be minimal problem. The opening
bid is $11,500. Colors are pale yellow with green fenders and rocker
panels. Described as running well, full restoration in 1960s. The
photos on the listing are mostly pretty much overexposed, but it looks
to be in good shape and complete, with a Motometer on the radiator cap,
cover for the crank hole, and all such little exterior details.
However, I strongly suspect it's actually a '28 -- it appears that the
headlights mount has the two vertical bars that disappeared in the 1929
model, and the bumper has only the single center oval "device," rather
than the three that are on '29 bumpers. Also, the wheels are 12-spoke
rather than 10, which I think is another distinguishing mark of the 28
cars. Still looks like a nice car if someone is in the market for a
two-seat Hudson of this era.
