Martyn, I assume you need to adjust the eccentric bushing to get closer
mesh of the work and gear. The best (and only way sometimes) to remove
the drop arm is to hold a good heavy anvil against one side of the hub
of the drop arm, and give it a good sharp whack on the opposite side to
jar it off the tapered spline. Brutal, but it works. I assume you
have the instructions to adjust the box?
