Wow, sorry to hear that! If you can't find an axle, let me know, we have dozens of them over here (good used). Will cost you a bit for postage, but the axle will only cost you $25. I find the best way to remove the axle is to just take up pressure on the center bolt of the puller, and then give the end of the bolt a good whack with a heavy hammer to jar the hub loose.
