1926 SS Headlights on eBay

Re. the 1926 SS Headlights on eBay.

I also could not originally tell from the poor
quality photos and the lack of a side shot  of the headlights, the
condition or even if they were a drum or helmet type light. (I have been looking
for a good set of the early 'helmet' type lights for my 1918 SS for years. It
has a later set of drum lights on it now.

Anyway, I have exchanged several emails with the
seller of the before mentioned headlights and he sent me several good quality
pictures of the lights and a sideways shot showing that they are indeed a later
type of 'drum' style of headlight. Which means that I can't use them. They
appear to be in nice condition and he say the reflectors even appear to be in
pretty good shape except for the one that has a cracked lens has some
tarnishing. The glass lens appear to be easy to find at swap meets as I always
seem to run across them. These headlights have a chrome or nickle band around
both the front and the rear portion of the housing. I'm not sure what year they
are , but Hudson used the 'drum ' type from 1922 thru 1926.

If anyone is interested in the other pictures the
owner sent me, I can forward them to you as an attacment.

I think that the auction runs until Aug.
