That's an odd one Martyn. Can you give us more details? For example,

while idling in neutral, does the motor slow down when the clutch pedal is

depressed? Does it make any noise? Running along in gear is OK? Is swaping

cogs normal?

I know of no clutch brake on any Hudson, but the early models than mine

may well have had such a feature. Dave Kostansek would be able to answer that

question.
