That's great news that one of these rare beasts has survived. However,

i think the insertion of this under 1927 is an error on Butler's part,

as the car illustrated is very obviously a 1928 model, and other sources

state that Murphy prototypes of this car were delivered in 1928. The

headlamps are definitely 1928, as is the radiator cap, and the park

lamps mounted on the line of the cowl on brakcets. Perhaps this was a

prototype 1928, who knows. If you look at the car on the top left of

page 116 you see exactly the same car. I'm not saying Perry's car is

not a '27, but the likelihood of the car on page 106 being a '27 is

small. And a footnote, I now have the molds for the 1929 Biddle &

Smart exterior door handles and escutcheons, and the pine-cone pattern

robe-rail brackets if anyone needs these parts. I have had one set of

each made so far, and the quality is pretty darn good! Best wishes to
