My New Car!

This weekend I picked up phase one of my project. I have purchased

two 1929 Greater Hudson Coupes type R (one 'good' one for parts) with

the six cylinder engine. This will be a real challenge, even with the

parts car. The first car was converted to a 'tractor' but it has a

good engine, frame and drive train, rough rough fenders, but not much

else. The nickel dash is still there but it is damaged. All my wheels

are wood, no metal spokes. My parts car still has the Hudson

manufacturing label with serial number (which I forgot to write down).

The second car has a complete body w/ rumble seat and a toasted

engine. I should be able to make one nice car from my pieces (some

day).

I am building a 'frame dolly' to move the parts car around in my shop

so the disassembly can begin soon.

I plan to strip the parts car over winter and retrieve the 'good' car

after the spring thaw.

I have a few digital pictures. I can email them to any intersted

parties that promise not to laugh. HARPER@fhwelding.com
