1929 Super Six Parts Book
I received the 1929 Super Six Parts Book yesterday, the one I won on an
eBay auction. I have scanned about a quarter of the pages, and should
have them finished by this weekend. The images are reproducing very
nicely. See:
http://www.phelpsclan.com/Hudson/08.jpg
for the scanned image of page 8 of the book. You can actually see the
details more easily on the full-size scan than you can in the book
itself, unless you're using a magnifying glass. This is scanned at 300
dpi, and the file size is a bit over 600K. This seems to be the
optimal scan size; at 150 dpi you get less resolution; at 600 you gain
nothing in resolution but quadruple the file size.
I will have the scan completed and be burning CDs with the entire
booklet this weekend. I will include on each CD a copy of the Parts
Book and also a previously-scanned copy of the Owner's Manual. Each
booklet will constitute a file size of over 15 megabytes, so it's too
large for downloading.
If you want a copy, please send $10 to cover CD, shipping, and a bit of
the parts book acquisition costs. Payment should go to
lewphelps@mac.com for paypal, or mai cash or a check to the address
below. I will ship, beginning Saturday, as I receive payments.
Since Yahoo sometimes truncates email addresses to protect us from
spammers, I will repeat the last part of the email address following
the @ sign: mac.com.
