A positive vendor report
A few weeks ago I posted a request to this list for someone who could
fix a broken radiator temperature gauge on my '29 Town Sedan. I got
several nominations.
I ended up sending it to John Wolf Co. in Ohio, and I am very pleased
with the results. They replaced the copper capillary tube, the sensor
that goes into the engine block and all the related hardware, and had
it back in my hand about a week after they received it. The
temperature is calibrated within 5 degrees or so (reads 206F in boiling
water at 750 feet altitude, while 210.5 F is boiling point at this
altitude). This is more than sufficient accuracy.
A fair price ($95 including shipping), fast service, and excellent
work. What more could you ask for?
