28 Essex coupe

Hi ther, my name is Brian Manning and I have just joined the group

as I'm working on a deal for a 1928 2dr RS coupe. I haven't done many

car restorations, but I'm looking forward to this one. Most of its

there, but the motor had been taken out sometime in the 30's and

exchanged for a Ford flathead v8. I have found the engine I believe

that came out of the body, but it has been stripped of all the

external electrical ie. starter, distributor, generator, coil etc..

The head is still torqued down, and the intake manifold is there with

a #25 Stewart carb still attached!. The interior is gone but the dash

instruments are there, says it has 21,000 miles. Hope to give it a

new home as soon as the snow goes away and it dries up [ I live in

Westeren Canada] If I get the car, I will be looking for advice that

I'm sure only this group can give.
