Model A Cap Size

We had a recent thread about the size of Model A & Hudson radiator cap

threads. I emailed a good pal of mine and real Model A guy for his expertise.

He relied:



The Model A ford radiator cap (1929) is 2 5/16 and the 1929 Chevy is 2

9/16. He just happened to have a sample of each on his computer table. What

a guy!



I just threw a ruler over one of the very nice reproduction caps that

Geoff makes and guess who was right? Geoff of course! The Hudson cap was 2

1/4, close enough to prove his point. I will hereby attribute my errant

memory to the lack of liquid libations forced upon me by external

constraints. Let us hope we can quickly get beyond this restriction and

restore the world to it's proper order.
