Distributor Numbers

I have been searching for a distributor for my 1928 Essex 2dr coupe

for some time now. The information I had gathered said it was a Auto-

lite IGB-4014. I went to an automotive electrical site on the web

and it says that the 26-27 Essex used a IB-4001 distributor, the 27-

28 Essex used a IBA-4001 distributor, and that in fact Essex

Terraplane used the IGB-4014 distributor. I'm so confused now I

don't know what I should be looking for other than an Asprin. Can

anybody shed some light on this and help me out? Thanks Brian M.
