Subject: [HSS] Welcome to group
Toms106us, Welcome to the Super Six group.
Tell us more about your car and if you chose, yourself. Most of us
know bits and pieces about the fellow group members. I live in Western
Mass USA. I have a 16 6-40 Not quite a Super Six but as much fun as you can
have with single axle band brakes. (Does yours have 4 wheel brakes?)
I've been having some trouble this year after 7-8 years of just doing
basic maintenance. Threw dist drive last year so I Rebuilt water pump
realigned/rebuilt starter/gen/distributor, replaced return water
collector, carb is being redone and it looks like valves will get checked this
winter. As I was pulling carb noticed exhaust manifold has leaking
into warm air for carb so hopefully the manifold is Ok and just the gaskets
are gone so I'll pull manifold when it's valves are getting attention.
As for your problem follow Geoff advice. He's kind of our resident Guru of
Mechanicals and from another Hemisphere to boot (NZ) You'll find this group
spans the globe so welcome to the ride and hold on, those SS6's can be fast.
If you can figure out how post a picture, Goodluck Jerre
