Glad to have you aboard the Forum, Rodney. There are several Hudson truck owners who hang out here, and I'm sure they'll be happy to answer any specific questions. Whereabouts do you live? Maybe someone with a Hudson truck lives nearby and you can check out their vehicle. Are you a member of the H-E-T Club? If not you might want to join...it's very helpful when you're looking for Hudson parts or technical information. The website is at http://www.hudsonclub.org/

Welcome! - are you Rodney or is that your Dad?

You're in luck there's a few folks on this board that have some nice Hudson pickups and they love to share their knowledge!

Do you have some pictures you'd like to show us of the truck?

Are you going to restore or rod?

Welcome! I drive a 47 Super Six truck almost every day. Runs good and looks original. Get her running first and then make it look as good as you want to. If you drive it to a show, people don't care what it looks like. I took 1000 lbs of steel to the scrap place yesterday, and had the whole crew out looking at it and wanting to know about it. Could have sold it on the spot.

I have the frame and rear end done on my 46, and making front ends from 3 different sets. It will get my good-running 254 straight eight and the OD from my 49 parts car. Thinking about emerald green w/black fenders.

Ask questions as one of us has been everywhere you want to go with it.
