Re: [HSS] 1920 engine parts
Martyn, originally the camshaft flange bore against a fibre thrust washer,
which was held in position from rotation by a peg in the cylinder block.
The peg was just a piece of bronze rod, and the thrust washer had an offset
leg with a hole which fitted over this peg. There is a spring and thrust
stud in the front of the camshaft which bears against a asurface inside the
timing cover. Unfortunately I only had two '20 camshafts, and these have
both gone already, sorry. However, I'll see if I can find another and let
you know. I can get you a crankshaft most likely, but freight would be
prohibitive from N.Z. Happy New Year, I hope you are surving the U.K.
weather.
