Can you let me first find out what are common parts and also what is needed

to fit a 29H into a series 'O' chassis and fit to a 20 transmission. Many

thanks for your speedy response.





Geoff perhaps you could comment on the above? Also my cam shaft would

probably reprofile but do you have any detail of a modern profile

appropriate to that series or could you put me in touch with a reprofiler

that does?



The fibre washer that you mention is clear now and the item fitted was

obviously just a terrible choice. I can recreate such but would you think

the fibre was there to stop any noise when the gear flaoted on and off

thrust or could I fit a bronze to it. I thought of making a dolly or a

dummy cam and then fitting a tool into the flange and machining by hand the

mess on the end of the bush such as it was at least flat then sizing a

bronze thrust washer and either securing with screws or indeed a peg of

some sort. Does this sound good or would it rattle? What did the later

shafts use?
