Thank you for  sending the pics, ....... glad to be able to share    It let's
us see some of the solutions someone came up with
to the carb problem. That
vent tube looks like it is routed to the soup bowl on
top of the manifold.
It must atomize the overflow quite well! 
I imagine that vapour lock must have been a problem as the fuel
line is
insulated and the "soup bowl" would tend to insulate the
fuel.

 

It would be interesting to hear what the carb came
from ........ I don't know myself but perhaps the guru
(Geoff) may have some idea.


He's seen the setup - mind you that was some
years ago - any ideas Geoff?
 
and what changes to jets and
screws were required to get it running sweetly.

If you don't object, I would like to put these up on the net for future
reference. .... no problems - do it
