The answer to "What year is this Hudson?"

    The question was
    ....

    What year is this Hudson?
    (see message 5227 for  pics)

    (a)  1929
(because the spare wheel in mounted in the front guard)

    (b)  1928 (or earlier
    because it has 12-spoked wheels)

    (c)  1991
(because that's what is says on the licence papers as it was then relicensed as
    a taxi)

    (d)  both (a)
    & (b)

    (e)  don't
    know

    And the
    answer is    .......
     (d)  both (a)
    & (b)   ....... see
    attachment

    It's essentially a '28 but
the guy who restored it (a professional who did a great job) put a '29 front
left guard onto it, allowing him to mount the spare wheel there and to do away
with the spare wheel carrier 28's have at the rear.

He was then able to fit an
adapted (enlarged and reshaped to follow the curve on the back of the car)
vintage car trunk where the carrier went.

    Now, I know it's not
correct ........ but it makes the car much more practical to use than an
original '28  (which has no trunk) and so I intend to keep it as
    is.

    Hope you have enjoyed the
    pics.
