Alex - thanks for that.  But still no joy I'm
afraid. 
I've since tried to download it (Kodak EasyShare) twice and
eachtime
its got about 2/3's of the way through this - when an error
message
appears and the download stops.  And, since I'm using a new
computer
here with Windows XP, I don't think the problem is at this
end. 
So, can you or anyone else suggest another, preferably free
program
I can download that will let me open pics attached to postings
in
this group?
