Re: [HSS] heat riser? linkage

Darrel, lock the damper valve in the wide-open position. Normally, the

lever is facing rearwards, and is pulled forward by the linkage from the

heat exchanger. Hold it forward and wire it up in that position. Also have

the heat control set on cold, so the by-pass butterfly is closed right off.

the last thing we need in this day and age with high-volatility fuel, is

heat around the intake.

Subject: [HSS] heat riser? linkage

Does anyone have a photo or manual page that shows the linkage for

the dampers on the manifold and carb that control the exhaust for the

heat riser?

My car is missing the damper linkage and the control knobs.

Can I drive my car in a parade this weekend without this linkage?

Is there a setting that I could set it at that would be safe to leave

it at for use this weekend?
