Flat Head Ford V8 ?

What spark plug can I go buy at any autoparts store and use on a 1936 Ford V8 ? Thanks, Ron

  • Go to any real auto parts store, not one of these franchises. They could supply you with a modern equivalent plug. As I remember they were 14mm and used a Champion H10.

    Nope, H10 is for the Hudsons. Ford V8 used a Champion UD16 from 33-37 gapped .025



    The Ford plug is like 7/8 dia

    I've seen Ford flatheads with Champion H-11's.
  • LOTS of cars used H10's. Most auto parts stores have a Champion book that lists plugs for most all early cars, trucks, tractors, Etc. You will also need to know if your engine is early 36 or late 36 and if it has aluminium heads or cast iron heads.
