Geoff is right its possible your gauge is stuck. The instruction
manual for my 17 states 2 1/2 gallons (10 qtrs) to fill crankcase and
dipper tray. It further states to use a good grade motor oil at 50
to 60 cents per gallon. Things have changed haven't they.
