Re: [HSS] Shaft Seal for Lever Type Shock- 1929 Type R
The firm that rebuilt my shocks manymoons ago, reamed out the worn housing,
and made up a solid neoprene block seal which compressed into the housing
and held in place by the arm. Has been effective. Sadly this firm no longer
exist, but it sould be a simple engineering procedure.

Subject: [HSS] Shaft Seal for Lever Type Shock- 1929 Type R
After roasting the existing seal with a torch (couldn't get it apart
any other way) I need to replace the shaft seal on my lever type
shock. This is the seal between the casting and the rotating arm.
Are they available? What were they made of? Cork?
