24 engine into 29, Doable?

Hello folks the groundhog has spoken, 6 more weeks of winter.

Therefor my hearty VT, 29 Super Six (Knock in engine) friend has come

across a 24 engine/trans in a frame. The 24 was destined to become a

sawmill and supposedly ran, now the head has been removed for some

reason. But is "all there" So todays prize question is will the 24

Engine go into the 29 reasonably straight forward or will it need to

be a whole engine & transmission transplant with a complete

replumbing & possible driveshaft change? The goal is to make 29

runable while the 29 engine gets a new life next winter. Of course

the value of the 24 frame & driveline has been brought up and nobody

wants to make a guess. I say offer $500 wait for counter offer and go

from there. But hey I'm a cheap New Englander. Ok guys lets hear from

you!
