(no subject)

I received a copy of the American Bonanza Society

Magazine and there was a article about keeping mice

out of aircraft. There was concern about what the

urine does to aluminum, chewed electrical wires and

upholstery (sound familiar?). The author stated that

he uses the Original Bounce Fabric Softener "Outdoor

Fresh Scent" sheets with great success and it smells

much better than moth balls.

I am chrome plating the snap rings for the the wire

wheels on my 1929 Hudson. Do these snap rings have to

be put in an oven (heat treated) after being plated?

I remember in my drag racing days that chrome plating

of critical parts was discouraged (e.g. roll bars, tie

rods, drag links, A arms, etc.) due to nitrogen

embrittlement. If plated, these parts were to be

heated and cooled down properly before use.

I sure would like your feedback on this.
