Gas gauge senders for 29 and ??? other Super Six Hudsons
As you have heard from Paul O'Neil, Geoff Clark spent a month here in
the US, working iincredible magic on my 29 Town Sedan, Paul's 29 Town
Sedan, and Paul's 26 Coupe. Geoff is a National Treasure. He is
amazing in what he is able to do to make these old cars run strongly
and quietly. All three vehicles now pass the balance-a-coin-on-the-
tappet-cover test, whereas before you couldn't have balanced a 2 x 4
block, at least on mine.
One of the things Geoff did was to resurrect my gas gauge sender from
near-death. It is a typical overly-complicated Hudson engineering
job, involving the usual cork float, a pair of bevel gears that
double the rotation while changing the direction of rotation by 90
