New to Community; Garnish Moldings & Oil Press Gauge

Hello Fellow Hudson Enthusiasts,

I have owned and serviced many antique cars in the past few years, and

now I am happy to say I have bought my first Hudson, a nice, 66,000

actual mile 1929 Standard Sedan. I have known the car for several

years as the previous owner was a close personal friend, and thought I

might take it off his hands.

I have communicated with a few of you outside the list before joining

and wish to say thanks for all of the information you have provided.

It is great to have a resource like this (and the technology to

implement it) to further our knowledge and better the hobby.

Naturally I have many questions about the Super Six, and I am going to

try to ask them as I come to them. First of all, right now I am

working on my interior window garnish moldings, and would like to know

the correct color for them-- body color, gloss black, flat black, etc.

(mine are dull black now, but my body is also black.) My car also has

a bronze pinstripe around the dash and the bottom of the garnish

moldings. Does anyone know the correct color for this?

Secondly, my oil pressure gauge is leaking onto my floormat. The

fitting on the line is tight; has anyone had this problem and what is

the weak link?

Best Regards,

James Coats
