Welcome James. The problem with the oil gauge could just be a cracked pipe
at the union. Take it off and check the swaging of the pipe, and the
condition of the fitting on the back of the gauge. If the gauge is
punctured, it has probably been "expanded" sometime due to maladjustment of
the delivery spring, or a blockage, which would have caused the bellows
inside the gauge to blow up like a balloon. Difficult to fix
unfortunately. Re the dash and window mouldings, it seems strange that
after the beautiful wood-grained versions in 1928, they reverted to plain
black for these in 1929, with the bronze pin-stripe as you describe. Best
