Aftermarket Parts, and K-GAP

For those of you who don't yet have a K-GAP catalog, I got one today,

and here is what is available for our Sixes:

1927-47 Door Rubber Bumpers, PN 538, $2.50/ea.

1929 Hudson Front Floor Mat, PN 400, $195.00

1929 Essex Windshield Seal, PN 431, $2.50/ft.

1927-31 Hudson Windshield Seal, PN 431, $2.50/ft

1927-33 Coach & Sedan Back Glass Seal, PN 350, $20.00

1929 Hudson Insert Strip for Landau Top, PN 432, $1.50/ft

1929 Essex and Hudson Running Board Step Mats,

Essex - PN 429, $225.00/pair

Hudson Short Wheelbase - PN 430, $225.00/pair

Hudson Long Wheelbase - PN 433, $250.00/pair

1927-54 Exhaust Deflector, Hudson Logo, All Models, PN 579, $25.00

And that's it.

I intend to order the floormat and the windshield seal. Anyone else

needing seals, if K-GAP doesn't have what you're looking for, Steele

Rubber Products has some stuff.

It would be great if we Hudsonites (No, not clutch fluid) had a parts

house like the Model A folks have. Matter of fact, I ordered

headlight, cowl light, and taillight bulbs from Mike's A-Ford-Able

parts the other day (Ours are the same as Model A) as well as door

check links, which I hope I can make work until I can find suitable

Hudson parts. These are things that I was hoping K-GAP would have. I

mean, light bulbs and the like are still manufactured, and I am sure

many other things as well. It would be nice to get such sundries from

Hudson people, not Model A Ford people. Another good idea for a parts

house to carry would be 6 volt Optima batteries, and 2/0 welding cable

and lugs (I can hear Lew Phelps jumping for joy now!).

If anyone wants these goodies, K-GAP's number is 760-868-2284, and

they don't take credit cards.

Just my thoughts... Anyone have something to contribute?

Best Regards,

James Coats
