****You are obviously getting the eccentric stop and the shoe retaining

studs mixed up. The studs are rivetted into the backing plate, the

eccentric stop is for adusting the shoe assembly rearward for minimum

clearance.

***This is correct - you couldn't have the lever at the top - the angle

would be all wrong.
