Spring shackles lub points?

My 1922 Hudson has the oil cups at the spring shackles. Can I change

them to a zert grease fitting? Will this help or hurt the lub system?

Has anyone else done this retro fitting? What is recommended? If I

stay with the oil cups, then what weight of oil is recommended? and

how much per cup?
